Our Story
When our Head Chef, Karl, won Young Pub Chef of the Year – guided and mentored by our Chef Patron, Tom – it simply confirmed what locals had been saying for years: this is a kitchen team with something truly special to offer. Their creativity, skill, and passion shine through in every plate, transforming the best local ingredients into dishes that feel both comforting and exciting.
This upstairs dining space is our chance to showcase the incredible produce we’re lucky enough to source from the fields, farms, and artisan suppliers of Ormskirk. Every menu is shaped by the seasons, telling the story of the land and the people behind it. It’s food that’s rooted in place, served with the same warmth and spirit of community that has made The Cricketers such a beloved gathering spot.
